Free Parking in Rutland for Christmas Shopping

Rutland County Council, in partnership with Oakham and Uppingham Town Councils, is offering free parking in all council-owned public car parks during the festive season to support local businesses and encourage shoppers to visit the towns.

Free Parking Dates:

• Late-Night Shopping:

• Uppingham: 5 December 2024 from 3pm onwards
• Oakham: 9 December 2024 from 3pm onwards

• Small Business Saturday: 7 December 2024

• Weekends: 14 and 21 December 2024

Important Notes:

• On-Street Parking: On-street parking restrictions will remain in force.
• Short-Term Bays: Limited waiting bays will be enforced to ensure parking turnover.
• Pre-Paid Sessions: Pre-paid parking sessions cannot be refunded.

By offering free parking, the councils aim to boost the local economy and make it easier for residents and visitors to enjoy the festive shopping experience in Rutland.
