Gardening enthusiasts are in for a treat this autumn as The Rutland Nursery Author Series proudly welcomes multi-award-winning garden designer, author, and broadcaster Anne-Marie Powell for an exclusive morning of horticultural inspiration.
Taking place on Tuesday, 29 September 2026, from 10:30 AM to 12:00 PM, the event is hosted in the charming setting of The Bothy at Rutland Nursery. Anne-Marie will be joined in conversation by renowned horticultural publisher and in-house host Chris Young to discuss her latest book, A Year of Colour.
Known for her dynamic, vibrant planting style and deep passion for connecting people with nature, Anne-Marie Powell is one of the most celebrated figures in modern garden design. In 2024, she achieved widespread acclaim at the RHS Chelsea Flower Show, capturing both the BBC People’s Choice Award and the Children’s Choice Award for her stunning, Octavia Hill-inspired garden.

As the former editor of The Garden for the RHS and currently Consultant Gardening Publisher for DK Books, Chris brings a brilliant editorial eye and a talent for uncovering the compelling stories behind the horticulture world's top creators.
