Langham Prepares for Summer Spectacle: Popular Street Market Returns in 2025

2016

Rutland residents, mark your calendars! The Langham Street Market is making a triumphant return on Bank Holiday Monday, August 25th, 2025, promising a day brimming with community spirit and summertime fun.

Organisers have announced that the popular event, set to take place from 10am to 3pm on Church Street and at Langham Village Hall, will once again transform the village into a bustling hub of activity. Expect a vibrant atmosphere, showcasing the best of local talent and produce.

The market promises something for everyone. Shoppers can explore a plethora of stalls inside the Village Hall, while outdoor enthusiasts can enjoy a classic car display and the colourful spectacle of Morris Dancing. A visit from the local Fire Engine is also sure to delight attendees of all ages.

Foodies will be well catered for, with refreshments and a traditional barbecue available throughout the day. And for those feeling lucky, a grand raffle offers the chance to win exciting prizes.

Beyond the entertainment, the Langham Street Market serves a vital purpose. All proceeds generated from Village Hall stalls, refreshments, the tombola, raffle, and pitch fees will contribute directly to the refurbishment and ongoing maintenance of the Village Hall, a crucial community asset.

The market also presents a fantastic opportunity for local entrepreneurs and craftspeople to showcase their wares. Stalls are available, including those suitable for gazebos, offering a platform for individuals and businesses to connect with the community. However, those interested in securing a pitch are advised to act quickly, as spaces are expected to fill up rapidly. All pitches must be booked and paid for in advance.
