The Rutland County Showground was transformed into a vibrant haven of horticulture and artistry as the inaugural Rutland Flower Show. Under a glorious blue sky, visitors are enjoyed the first day of the  three-day event.

The fantastic weather provided the perfect backdrop for a day dedicated to all things floral and botanical. Crowds streamed through the gates, eager to explore the show's diverse offerings. From the stunning show gardens to the beautifully arranged floral displays, there wass something to capture the imagination of every attendee.

Beyond the blossoms, the show was a true celebration of community and creativity, Skilled creators are showcasing unique handmade works. Food vendors are serving up delicious regional treats. The air is filled with melodies, creating a joyful, festive atmosphere.

Day one was marked by a moving tribute as the show coincides with the 80th anniversary of Victory over Japan (VJ) Day. Many competition displays were themed to honor this milestone. Adding to the sense of occasion.

The event, run from Friday to Sunday, August, featured local gardening clubs alongside celebrity experts like Adam Frost and Nick Hamilton, offering talks and demonstrations to inspire green-fingered visitors.
