The results are in for the Rutland and Stamford’s Favourite Pub Awards, showcasing the incredible establishments that serve as the heartbeat of our local communities. Spearheaded by local recognition and community voting championed by MP Alicia Kearns, this year's competition highlighted the passion, resilience, and warm hospitality defining the region's top watering holes.
The Woodhouse Arms Takes the Crown Taking home the ultimate title of Rutland and Stamford’s Favourite Pub is The Woodhouse Arms in Corby Glen. This beloved village spot captured the hearts of locals and judges alike. A powerhouse group of women run the establishment, cultivating an exceptionally warm and welcoming atmosphere that has made it a true community hub. A visit to the venue reveals firsthand why it holds such a special place in the hearts of Corby Glen residents and visitors from further afield.
Joint Runners-Up, two stellar establishments shared the joint runner-up spot, each bringing their own distinct charm to the local dining and drinking scene.
The Green Dragon (Ryhall) Managed by Ania, Simon, and their dedicated team, this mid-1800s village staple is celebrated for its family-friendly environment, home-cooked dishes, and famous pizzas. Backed by an outpouring of local votes, it remains an essential stop for anyone travelling through Ryhall.
The Griffin Inn (Irnham) Nestled in a picturesque village setting, Jamie and the team at this classic country pub earned recognition for their exceptional food, cosy interiors, lovely garden, and dependable hospitality.
