This session serves as a crucial bridge between local families and policymakers, offering a platform for parents and carers to share their lived experiences and insights on proposed national changes.

Event Details

Date: 27th April

Time: 7:00 pm – 8:30 pm

Location: Online (Link provided upon registration)

In a move to ensure transparency and direct communication, the SEND team from Rutland County Council will be present during the call. Their role is to listen to the community’s feedback and provide real-time responses to questions or queries regarding how the White Paper reforms might impact local service delivery.

The SEND Reform White Paper outlines significant shifts in how children and young people with additional needs are supported within the education and healthcare systems. Feedback from these sessions is vital for:

Identifying potential challenges in the proposed reforms.

Ensuring local implementation meets the specific needs of Rutland families.

Advocating for the resources and support structures that matter most to carers.

How to Join

Space for the online session is limited, and pre-registration is required. Interested parents and carers should email the forum to secure their spot and receive the meeting link.

Whether you have specific concerns about the White Paper or simply want to learn more about how these reforms will affect your child's future, this session is an invaluable opportunity to engage directly with the people shaping SEND services in Rutland.
