Family release tribute to motorcyclist who died in Oakham collision
The family of a 25-year-old man who tragically died following a collision in Oakham earlier this year have released a heartfelt tribute.
Cody Armstrong, from Wigston, was pronounced dead at the scene after the black Triumph motorcycle he was riding was involved in a single-vehicle collision on the A6003 Stamford Road on March 20. An inquest into his death has since been opened by HM Coroner.
In a statement released via Leicestershire police, his family spoke of their immense grief and love for him.
“Cody, our son, our boy, how we miss you. It breaks our hearts that we will not see you fulfil your dreams and aspirations,” the family said.
“You were just making an impact on your life, there is nothing you didn't achieve through your hard work, commitment and you were full of such determination. We are so proud of you from the lively, energetic, robust little boy you were to the man you had become.
“The memories we have of you come tumbling down at all different times and are in random orders and as your parents we will cherish these memories for the rest of our lives.”
The family also expressed their gratitude to those who tried to help their son in his final moments.
“As Cody's family we would like to say a sincere thank you to everyone who tried to assist in saving Cody's life. Words cannot describe the pain we are going through but it helps to know that so many people tried to help him. Thank you all.”
