Rutland Residents Invited to Shape Future of Local Bus Services

Rutland County Council is extending an open invitation to all residents to attend its upcoming Bus Users Meeting, as part of its ongoing commitment to enhance and modernize public transport across the county. The meeting offers a crucial opportunity for the community to engage directly with the Council's transport initiatives and contribute to the development of a more efficient and accessible bus network.

The meeting is scheduled to take place in the main Council Chamber at Rutland County Council’s Catmose offices in Oakham on Monday, July 14, 2025, from 11:00 AM to 12:30 PM. There is no requirement for advance booking or reservation, encouraging all interested individuals to attend.

This gathering is a key component of Rutland County Council's ambitious Bus Service Improvement Plan (BSIP), which aims not only to expand access to local transport services but also to ensure their long-term sustainability. A significant part of this plan includes the full rollout of a new on-demand minibus service, set to cover the entire county from August 4, 2025.

Attendees at the Bus Users Meeting will receive comprehensive updates on the evolving changes to Rutland's local bus network directly from the Council’s Transport Team. Following the updates, there will be an interactive question-and-answer session, allowing residents to voice their queries, provide feedback, and discuss specific concerns related to public transport in their areas.

For those seeking further information about the meeting, Rutland County Council’s Transport Team can be contacted via email at transport@rutland.gov.uk or by calling 015772 758 138.
