Leadership Transition at Braunston-in-Rutland Parish Council
After 16 years of dedicated service, Carole Brown has officially retired from her role as Clerk to the Braunston-in-Rutland Parish Council.
Reflecting on her long tenure, Parish Council Chairman Chris Bichard expressed his gratitude for Ms. Brown’s hard work and commitment to the village over the years. To mark the occasion and celebrate her contributions, members of the Council hosted a farewell meal to give her a proper send-off.
As she transitions into retirement, Ms. Brown plans to pursue her passion for life on the water, spending her time navigating the canals in her longboat.
Following Ms. Brown's departure, the Parish Council is pleased to announce the appointment of its new Clerk, Sally Skyrme. Ms. Skyrme brings relevant experience to the role, having previously served as a parish clerk in Scraptoft and Stretton. The Council has extended a warm welcome to Ms. Skyrme as she steps into this position.
