Give the Gift of Joy, Uppingham Christmas Presents Appeal Runs Until December 16th

The spirit of giving is alive and well in Uppingham this festive season, The Uppingham Rotary Club has once again partnered with the wonderful charity Toys on the Table to launch their annual Christmas Presents Appeal, ensuring that every child in the local area can experience the magic of Christmas morning.

This vital appeal is collecting donations of new and unwrapped toys and gifts for children ranging from babies right up to teenagers. The donations are a beacon of hope, aimed at reaching children across Rutland and Leicestershire, regardless of their faith, who might otherwise go without a gift this Christmas.

Toys on the Table operates a crucial referral system, working directly with local agencies to identify children most in need. This includes referrals from:

Social Services

Foodbanks

Schools

Women's Aid Groups

This meticulous process ensures that every donated gift reaches a child who will truly benefit, helping to bring a much-needed smile to their face during the festive season.

The appeal relies entirely on the generosity of the community, and donating is simple:

What to Donate: New, unwrapped toys and gifts are needed for children of all ages, from babies to teenagers. Leaving gifts unwrapped is essential so that the volunteers at Toys on the Table can sort them according to the appropriate age and gender group before distribution.

Where to Donate: Donations can be dropped off at the central collection point:

The Falcon Hotel 7 High Street East Uppingham, LE15 9PY

The collection runs until Tuesday, December 16, 2025.

Your support no matter how small can make an enormous difference, transforming a potentially difficult Christmas into a joyful one for a vulnerable child. The Uppingham Rotary Club and Toys on the Table extend their sincere thanks to everyone who contributes.
