Waffles and Whizz-Bangs: South Witham Fireworks Extravaganza Tonight!
South Witham, Lincolnshire – Get ready for a magnificent night of dazzling displays and delicious treats as the village hosts its spectacular Bonfire & Fireworks Extravaganza tonight, Saturday, 8 November 2025, at the South Witham Village Hall (NG33 5PH).
The event is more than just fireworks; it's a full evening of community fun, with proceedings kicking off from 18:00 (6:00 pm) and running until approximately 21:30 (9:30 pm).
A Night of Fire, Food, and Family Fun
Organised on the playing field behind the Village Hall, the event is a key fundraiser, with all profits going directly towards the Play Park Fund for South Witham. Attendees can look forward to a full program of events:
"Guy" Competition and Parade: Starting the evening will be the judging of the Guy competition (£1 to enter). The winners will receive gift vouchers, and all entries will receive a gift. The competing Guys will then be paraded to the bonfire.
Bonfire Lighting: The spectacular Bonfire will be lit, providing warmth and a traditional focal point for the evening.
Fireworks Display: A professional fireworks display will light up the night sky over South Witham.
Magical Waffles and Community Spirit
Adding a sweet touch to the evening is the announcement that local favourite Wand-A-Waffles will be attending, serving up their delicious treats!
Additionally, the event will feature:
Hot food and drinks available to keep the whole family warm.
The Bar will be open for adult refreshments.
The organisers rely on donations from local businesses and dedicated volunteers to make this event happen, showcasing the strong community spirit in South Witham. While limited parking will be available, attendees are encouraged to arrive early.
