Oakham's Market Place will come alive with the sound and color of art this August, as local artists Stephen Wigmore and Matthew Burchell prepare to open a unique pop-up gallery. The exhibition, a vibrant "CELEBRATION OF MUSIC," will be housed in a vacant shop and is set to open its doors on Saturday, August 16, 2025.
Stephen Wigmore and Matthew Burchell, both well-known in the local music and art scene, are bringing their individual styles together for this collaborative show. The exhibition promises to be a visual feast, exploring the diverse and powerful influence of music through a variety of mediums. The artists are inviting the community to experience their creative interpretations of melody, rhythm, and the emotions that music evokes. You will also be able to see works created by Joe Burchell
