Rutland's Virtual Easter Egg Hunt: A Sweet Heritage Trail Adventure
The Lions Club of Rutland CIO is inviting families and individuals to embark on a unique and delightful Easter adventure. Forget traditional egg hunts in fields; this year, the hunt takes place along the picturesque Oakham Heritage Trail, with a tech-savvy twist!
From Wednesday, April 9th, through to Friday, April 11th, the town of Oakham will be transformed into an interactive treasure hunt. The Lions Club has hidden virtual Easter eggs in 20 distinct locations along the heritage trail. Participants will use their smartphones or tablets to "find" these digital eggs, blending the charm of Oakham's history with the fun of a modern scavenger hunt.
A Sweet Start at the Library:
To begin your adventure, make sure to visit Oakham Library any time between 10:00 am and 3:30 pm on any of the specified days. Not only will you receive instructions on how to access the virtual hunt, but the Lions Club is also generously providing Cadbury's Creme Eggs to fuel your exploration! This sweet treat will undoubtedly provide the necessary energy to track down all those hidden virtual treasures.

The Oakham Heritage Trail offers a fantastic opportunity to discover the town's rich history and beautiful landmarks. Participants will be guided to various points of interest, learning about Oakham's past while engaging in a fun, family-friendly activity.
