Hannah Edwards, a physics teacher at Oakham School, was known for her dedication to her students and her passion for her community.

In addition to her role as a councillor for the Oakham North East Ward, she was an avid flyer and aerobatics enthusiast, actively involved in the Oakham Flying School.

The headmaster of Oakham School, Henry Price, paid tribute to Hannah Edwards, describing her as a "dedicated and caring teacher" who had a "hugely positive and enduring impact" on her students. He expressed the school's deep sorrow and offered condolences to Hannah Edwards' family and friends.

A book of condolence has been opened at Oakham Library for those who wish to share their memories and offer their sympathies.
