Summer evenings in the East Midlands are set to get a lot more flavourful this July. Rutland Nursery has announced that the celebrated husband-and-wife culinary team behind London’s iconic Honey & Co. will be headlining their prestigious Author Series on Thursday, 16 July 2026.

The exclusive evening is designed to celebrate the launch of their highly anticipated fifth cookbook, Honey & Co. Daily: Easy Food for Your Everyday Pleasure. Longtime fans and local food enthusiasts will get an intimate look into the recipes, chaotic kitchens, and warm hospitality that define the duo's career.

Sarit Packer and Itamar Srulovich, fondly known to their legions of fans as "the honeys," have been massive influencers on the British food scene since launching their first cozy eatery in 2012. Both alumni of Yotam Ottolenghi’s kitchens, they brought vibrant, spice-infused Middle Eastern home cooking to the forefront of London dining.

Their debut book won major critical acclaim, including The Sunday Times Cookbook of the Year and a Fortnum & Mason award. Today, they manage a sprawling food family in Central London that encompasses a bakery, an event studio, and their newest hybrid wine bar on Great Portland Street. They also write regular recipe features for the Financial Times Weekend magazine and The Guardian Feast, alongside hosting their industry insider podcast, Honey & Co: The Food Sessions.

Their latest book shifts the spotlight away from complex restaurant showstoppers and focuses entirely on the simple, seasonal bakes, comforting single-pan dinners, and vibrant salads that bring comfort to a busy weekday.

The evening at Rutland Nursery will be structured to balance entertainment with practical home cooking inspiration. Hosted by the nursery's in-house interviewer Chris Young, the event begins with a welcome drink taken straight from the book's cocktail chapter: a refreshing Lime, Mint, and Cucumber Gimlet (with a non-alcoholic option available).

Following the welcome drinks, Srulovich and Packer will take to the stage for a live cooking demonstration, showcasing how to easily incorporate bold Middle Eastern spices and techniques into low-fuss, everyday cooking. The session will conclude with a live audience Q&A and an intimate book signing where guests can chat directly with the authors.
