Rutland on Lockdown: Adam Croft Releases No Way Out Early for Local Fans

Local crime fiction enthusiasts are in for a treat as bestselling author Adam Croft releases his latest novel, No Way Out, a month early in select stores around Rutland and Stamford.

This sixth instalment in Croft's popular Rutland series sees Detective Inspector Caroline Hills face a chilling situation on the storm-battered Hambleton Peninsula. A body is discovered, and with the only road cut off by the weather, the investigation takes a claustrophobic turn. Trapped with a potential killer, DI Hills must navigate a web of secrets, hidden passions, and a mysterious newcomer. The stakes rise even higher as the storm clears, revealing a second victim and a deadly turn in the case.

In a move to support independent bookstores, Croft is releasing No Way Out a month ahead of its national release date (November 29th) in select stores throughout Rutland and Stamford. Fans can get their hands on signed copies starting Friday, October 25th at participating locations, including Barrowden and Wakerley Community Shop, Bourne Bookshop, Budgens Uppingham, and more (see full list below). Additionally, signed copies will be available directly from Croft's website.

Launched in 2020 with What Lies Beneath, the Rutland series has become a favourite among crime fiction readers.  No Way Out follows the success of On Borrowed Time, In Cold Blood, Kiss of Death, and Moment of Truth. Fans can expect another thrilling page-turner, further solidifying the series' place in the genre.

The excitement doesn't stop there. Early next year, No Way Out will be available as an audiobook, narrated by the acclaimed actor Mathew Horne, best known for his role in the hit British sitcom Gavin and Stacey.
