Rutland County Council Faces Direct Payment Disruption Due to National System Outage
Rutland County Council has announced that a national system outage is currently impacting some of its direct payments to individuals and families across the county. The disruption is affecting crucial financial support for a number of vulnerable residents.
The Council confirmed today that technical issues are causing significant disruption to direct payments for individuals who receive funds from adult social care services. In addition, families of children with special educational needs and disabilities (SEND) and children with disabilities (CWD) are also experiencing difficulties accessing their allocated payments.
"We are aware of technical issues that are disrupting some of our direct payments," a Rutland County Council spokesperson stated. "This appears to be affecting individuals who receive direct payments from our adult social care services, as well as families of children with special educational needs and disabilities (SEND) and children with disabilities (CWD)."
Rutland County Council is actively collaborating with the payment system operator to resolve the problem with the utmost urgency. They are committed to restoring normal service as quickly as possible to minimise the impact on those who rely on these vital funds for their care and support needs.
In the interim, the Council is urging anyone affected by this disruption to contact them immediately for assistance.
