Challenge Yourself for Vista at SwimRutland 2025

Vista, an organisation supporting over 8,000 adults and children with sight loss across Leicestershire and Rutland, is calling on Rutland residents to take part in SwimRutland 2025 and help raise vital funds. The event aims to enable Vista to expand its support and ensure no one in the region faces sight loss alone.

SwimRutland 2025 will take place on Sunday, August 3rd, 2025, offering participants the chance to swim across the width of the scenic Rutland Water. Swimmers can choose from four open water distances: 500m, 2km, 4km, and a challenging 8km.

Participants can look forward to comprehensive support leading up to the event, including guidance for their swimming journey and a detailed race guide emailed two weeks prior. A unique feature allows free swimmer-to-swimmer transfers within the terms and conditions, offering flexibility.

On race day, swimmers will benefit from full event support from arrival to departure. All finishers will receive a bespoke event medal and a quality silicone swim hat. The event promises a fantastic atmosphere with community support, and prizes will be awarded to the top three men and women in each category.

Essential amenities and support on the day include an athlete help desk, a thorough briefing, a safe swimming environment managed by professionals, hydration points along the course and at the finish, and comprehensive medical support. Participants will also have access to results tables as they finish, free event photos for download, and free parking.

Swimmers participating in the 2km event will also benefit from a boat trip to the start line and bag transport to the finish. All 2km swimmers will receive a kit bag, and free bag drop facilities will be available for all participants.

By taking part in SwimRutland 2025, you can challenge yourself while making a significant difference in the lives of individuals with sight loss in Leicestershire and Rutland. Join hundreds of swimmers for this epic open water challenge and support Vista's crucial services.
