Rutland residents can now enjoy warmer, more energy-efficient homes thanks to a recent change in the Home Upgrade Grant eligibility criteria

Rutland residents can now enjoy warmer, more energy-efficient homes thanks to a recent change in the Home Upgrade Grant eligibility criteria. This expansion means nearly 20% more households in the area can now access free energy-saving upgrades.

The Warmer Homes Programme, which is currently open for applications, offers eligible residents funding to install measures such as insulation, air source heat pumps, solar panels, and more. The maximum income threshold for the grant has been increased to £36,000, making the program accessible to a wider range of households.

How to Apply

If your annual household income is £36,000 or less and your primary heating system is not a gas boiler, you can apply for the Home Upgrade Grant. The program offers up to £38,000 in funding per household, with the exact amount depending on the property type and necessary upgrades.

What if I have gas in my home?

Even if you have a gas connection, you may still be eligible if it's not used for heating. For example, if you have a gas cooker but primarily heat your home with electricity, oil, coal, LPG, solid fuel, or other alternative methods, you can apply.

For more information or to check your eligibility,

please call the Warmer Homes freephone number: 0800 038 5737.

Don't miss out on this opportunity to make your home more comfortable and save money on energy bills.
