Ketton Green Festival Returns This Sunday for an Afternoon of Eco-Friendly Fun

Ketton Village is gearing up for its annual Ketton Green Festival this Sunday, June 8, 2025, promising a fun-filled afternoon of activities centered around protecting nature and combating climate change. As part of the wider Great Big Green Week, the festival will take place at Hall Close in the heart of Ketton (PE9 3TB) from 2:00 PM to 4:00 PM, with free admission for all.

The festival offers a diverse range of activities and attractions for all ages. Highlights include a charity duck race along the River Chater, with proceeds benefiting the Ketton School PTA, and practical services like a bike repair station and a bike exchange for those looking to swap out their old cycles.

Green-thumbed attendees can look forward to a plant sale and the opportunity to try their hand at seed planting. Creative spirits can explore local arts and crafts stalls and even participate in willow weaving. A toy swap and sale will also be available, encouraging reuse and sustainability.

Several organisations will be present, including a local renewable energy supplier, Active Rutland, and Refill Revolution, offering valuable information and resources. Village groups will also be sharing updates on local initiatives, such as efforts to map walking routes around Ketton and the Ketton Nut Project.

New this year, high-quality vegetarian refreshments will be available for purchase, in addition to the ever-popular ice cream van.
