Let the Festive Fun Begin! Alicia Kearns MP Launches Sixth Annual Christmas Card Competition

It’s that time of year again! The festive season is fast approaching, and local primary school students are invited to unleash their creativity as Alicia Kearns MP launches her sixth annual Christmas card competition. This year, young artists from across the area have the chance to see their design spread Christmas cheer far and wide.

A Call for Creative Christmas Trees

This year's theme is 'My Perfect Christmas Tree'. Whether it's traditional, modern, sparkling, or completely unique, Ms. Kearns is eager to see what imaginative interpretations local children can bring to this iconic festive symbol.

"Our children’s creativity never fails to bring a smile to my face and spread the Christmas cheer – I can’t wait to see what wonderful designs you can come up with!" says Alicia Kearns MP.

The competition is open to all local primary school year groups.

The stakes are high: the winning design will be printed and sent out as Alicia Kearns’ official Christmas card this year! In addition to this prestigious honour, there will be prizes for first, second, and third places.

To ensure entries are correctly processed, all submissions should clearly include the child’s full name, year group, and school name on the back of the entry. If parents or guardians are happy to, entrants are also asked to include the town or village they are from.

All entries must be addressed to:

Alicia Kearns MP 6 Market Street, Oakham, LE15 6DY

The deadline for all entries is Friday, November 7th. Don't miss this opportunity to inspire a little Christmas magic! Get those pencils, paints, and glitter glue ready!
