For Rutland Tombola Returns to the Rutland County Show 2025 with a Call for Bottle Donations

For Rutland Tombola Returns to the Rutland County Show 2025 with a Call for Bottle Donations

The annual For Rutland Grand Bottle Tombola is set to be a highlight once again at the Rutland County Show on Sunday, June 1st, 2025. This popular event will take place at the Rutland Showground in Oakham.

"For Rutland," a fundraising group dedicated to supporting Citizens Advice Rutland, is organising the tombola. The funds raised will directly benefit the local community by helping to pay for specialist advisors at Citizens Advice Rutland. These advisors provide crucial non-medical advice to people of all ages in Rutland and the surrounding areas who are living with long-term health conditions.

Last year's tombola was a resounding success, featuring over 1450 donated bottles and raising an impressive £8500. The organisers are hoping for another fantastic turnout this year to continue supporting this vital free advice service.

How You Can Help:

"For Rutland" is currently appealing to the generosity of the public for donations of bottles of any kind. Whether it's a bottle of wine, spirits, beer, shampoo, or even something a little more unusual, all contributions are gratefully received.

Donation Drop-Off Points:

Donations can be dropped off at the following locations in the lead-up to the event:

John Porter Dry Cleaning in Oakham

Nelsons Butchers in Uppingham

By donating bottles, you'll be directly contributing to a worthy cause while also offering exciting prizes for tombola participants.

Join the Fun at the Rutland County Show:

Make sure to visit the "For Rutland Grand Bottle Tombola" stand on Sunday, June 1st, 2025, at the Rutland County Show. Located in the main marquee next to the arena, it's an unmissable attraction. For just £1 per ticket, you'll have the chance to win from hundreds of donated bottles while supporting a vital local service.

Even if you can't make it to the show, you can still support "For Rutland" by visiting their website for more information on how to donate.

Come along to the Rutland County Show, enjoy a fantastic day out, and try your luck at the Grand Bottle Tombola knowing that your participation is helping to improve the lives of people in the Rutland community.
