Rutland County Museum in Oakham is launching a special exhibition today, Saturday, May 3rd, 2025, to commemorate the 80th anniversary of Victory in Europe (VE Day). Titled "VE Day 80: Stories from the Collection", the exhibition offers a unique look into Rutland's wartime experiences.
Running until Saturday, June 14th, 2025, this poignant display features items from the museum's archives that are not usually on permanent view, alongside recent acquisitions related to World War Two. Visitors can delve into the county's specific links with the Royal Navy during the war years.
