Bringing Colour to the Heart of Rutland Oakham Town Council Launches Floral Displays EOI
Oakham Town Council has announced a new Call for Expressions of Interest (EOI) for qualified horticultural and landscaping organisations.
(3 year contract starting 2027)
The project aims to secure a dedicated partner to design, supply, install, and maintain vibrant seasonal floral displays across Oakham Town Centre, ensuring the town remains picturesque and welcoming for residents and visitors alike.
The successful organisation will take charge of transforming multiple key locations throughout the town.
The initial estimate of required infrastructure highlights a comprehensive display network:
40 Wall Troughs
13 Circular Lamp Post Troughs
50 Hanging Baskets
2 Large Tiered Troughs
The scope of work spans the full lifecycle of the displays from initial design concepts that complement their urban surroundings to reliable ongoing maintenance. This includes routine upkeep, watering, and the prompt replacement of any dead or dying plants to keep the town looking its best year-round.
Vendors should note that participation in this initial EOI phase is mandatory. Only organisations that respond to this Call for Expressions of Interest will be considered for any subsequent invitations to tender for the official contract.
Applicants must demonstrate a proven track record in delivering public floral displays, alongside a clean compliance record free of professional misconduct or legal sanctions.
