Cutts Close in Oakham was filled with activity this afternoon as Oakham Baptist Church successfully hosted a vibrant community event, drawing a large crowd and offering a wide array of free entertainment and refreshments.

The event proved to be a resounding success, with families and individuals enjoying a diverse range of activities. Children were kept entertained with numerous games, while a popular nail bar added a unique touch for attendees of all ages.

A true highlight for many was the incredible amount of food provided, all at no cost. Volunteers served up over two thousand hamburgers and hundreds of hot dogs, which were eagerly enjoyed by the hungry crowd. The continuous flow of free tea, coffee, and cake also proved to be a huge hit throughout the afternoon.

Beyond the culinary delights, the event offered plenty of opportunities for active participation. Enthusiastic attendees took part in line dancing and other engaging activities, fostering a lively and inclusive atmosphere.

Adding a spiritual dimension to the day, an open-air church service was held, providing a moment for reflection and community gathering. In a stroke of good fortune, the weather cooperated perfectly, with the rain holding off to ensure a comfortable and enjoyable afternoon for everyone.
