Rutland Gears Up for County Celebration Service at Peterborough Cathedral
Special commemorative evensong in celebration of the county of Rutland, with The Lord Lieutenant of Rutland, Dr Sarah Furness, High Sheriff, Richard Cole and participants from local schools, and a sermon from the Bishop of Peterborough Right Reverend Debbie Sellin.
A special service to celebrate the county will be held at the magnificent Peterborough Cathedral on Sunday, March 2nd, 2025, commencing at 3:30 pm.
Residents of Rutland and well-wishers are encouraged to mark their calendars for this special service.
Rutland, England's smallest historic county, Peterborough Cathedral is considered the Mother Church of Rutland because of its historical connections as part of The Diocese of Peterborough.
