Oakham Roads Closed Due to Police Incident
Oakham, 21st January 2025 - A significant police incident has led to the closure of Cold Overton Road and Mendip Road in Oakham. Leicestershire Police implemented the road closures at 8:00 PM and have advised that the roads will remain closed for an undetermined period.
Motorists and pedestrians are urged to find alternative routes and avoid the affected areas.

Road Closures: Cold Overton Road and Mendip Road down to Redland Road
Closure Time: 8:00 PM
Reopening: 4.30am
Update: Redland Road in Oakham was closed through the night after police were called to a single vehicle collision there.
One person was taken to hospital and police say no arrests were made. The road was closed for several hours from 9:00pm but did reopen during the early hours of this morning.
