Spring Community Events Announced for Wing in Rutland

Wing is set to host a series of community and church-led events over the coming weeks, offering a variety of opportunities for residents to gather and celebrate the spring season.

On Friday, 20th March, the Stamford Concert Singers will perform at the Village Hall. The concert begins at 7:30 pm, and tickets are priced at £12.50. Those interested in attending can purchase tickets by contacting Helen Bateman (01572 737499), Jeffy Wood (01572 737465), or Alice Hill (01572 737516).

A Church Coffee Morning is scheduled for Saturday, 21st March, from 10:30 am until 12:00 noon. Hosted at 10 Middle Street by the kind invitation of Rosemary and Gerald Clifton, the event will feature a "bring and buy" stall and a raffle. Entry is £1, and proceeds will support church funds.

For families, a Children’s Easter Activity Morning will take place in the Village Hall on Saturday, 4th April, from 10:30 am to 12:00 noon. The event will include craft activities, Easter stories, and an egg hunt. Residents interested in attending are asked to contact Sharon via WhatsApp at 07788 105166.

The series of events concludes with a Holy Communion Service and Easter celebration on Easter Sunday at St Peter & St Paul, Wing, 5th April, beginning at 9:30 am.
