UCC Teacher Receives Prestigious James Dyson Foundation Award

Uppingham Community College teacher Jonathan Davies, Head of Design and Technology, has been recognised for his outstanding contribution to the field by the James Dyson Foundation.
Mr. Davies, who has been teaching at UCC for 20 years, received the award in recognition of his exceptional teaching methods and dedication to inspiring the next generation of engineers and designers. The submission for the award included glowing testimonials from both staff and students, highlighting his passion for the subject and his ability to engage students of all abilities.
This prestigious award is a testament to Mr. Davies' commitment to providing high-quality education and fostering a love of design and technology among his students. His innovative teaching approaches and focus on practical, hands-on learning have made a significant impact on the department and the wider school community.
Jonathans award was presented at 2024 The Design and Technology Association Excellence Awards held at The British Motor Museum, Gaydon.
