Discover Community and Wellbeing: What’s On at Pepper’s Oakham This April
In a world that often feels fast-paced and isolating, finding a "safe place" to unwind and connect is vital. Pepper’s- A Safe Place continues to be that beacon for the Oakham community, offering a diverse schedule of calming and creative activities throughout the month of April.
Whether you are looking to quiet your mind, explore a new hobby, or simply enjoy a warm cup of tea and a friendly conversation, the Oakham Centre has curated a calendar designed to support mental wellbeing and foster social connection.
The April schedule highlights a consistent rhythm of activities every Wednesday, focusing on both internal reflection and outward creativity.
Mindfulness & Meditation: Kickstart your Wednesdays from 10:30 am to 11:30 am. These sessions offer a dedicated hour to breathe, center yourself, and develop tools for managing daily stress.
Art and Crafts: Wednesday afternoons (2:00 pm – 4:00 pm) are dedicated to hands-on creativity. The sessions alternate between:
Crafts with Pippins Potions: (April 1st, 15th, and 29th)
Art and Crafts with Home Sweet Holly: (April 8th and 22nd)
Tea, Chat, and Connection
For those who prefer a more informal setting, the Tea and Chat Drop-in sessions are the heart of Pepper’s social calendar. These sessions are perfect for anyone looking to meet new people in a relaxed, low-pressure environment.
Note: Please be aware that the centre will be closed on Monday, April 6th for Easter Monday, and will also remain closed on Thursdays throughout April and May.
