Police Investigate Overnight Burglaries in Langham; Patrols Increased
Local officers are appealing for vigilance and information following a series of reported burglaries in Langham over the weekend.
The incidents occurred overnight between Saturday, October 24, and Sunday, October 25. Police confirmed that all three reports stem from a single location on the same night. At this stage, investigators believe this was an isolated incident.
Officers are currently following up on several lines of inquiry, including reviewing local CCTV footage and conducting forensic analyses.
To reassure residents, Inspector Paterson-Bell, Neighborhood Policing Area (NPA) Commander for Melton and Rutland, has made increased police visibility in the area an immediate focus.
"As the local policing commander, I have made additional patrols in and around Langham one of my top five policing priorities for this week, providing additional visibility and reassurance to the community," stated Inspector Paterson-Bell.
Police are urging the Langham community to remain vigilant and keep home and property security top of mind.
Watch for unusual activity or unfamiliar vehicles parked in the area.
Promptly report any concerns or suspicious behaviour directly to the police.
Ensure all windows, doors, garages, and outbuildings are locked securely overnight.
Anyone with information, dashcam footage, or CCTV from the area during the night of October 24–25 that could assist the investigation is encouraged to contact the local policing team.
