Children Travel Free on Bland's and Centrebus Services Across Rutland This August
Families living in and visiting Rutland can look forward to a more affordable summer holiday, as children aged 15 and under will be able to travel completely free of charge on local buses.
Running throughout the entire month from 1st to 31st August, the initiative is part of the UK government’s Great British Summer Savings scheme.
How the Scheme Works
Taking advantage of the free travel is straightforward, with no complicated steps required:
Families do not need to apply for special bus passes, download apps, or register in advance.
Children aged 15 and under can simply step onto participating services operated by Bland's and Centrebus across Rutland without paying a fare.
The offer applies to all eligible trips throughout August, whether you are heading out for a single afternoon or travelling regularly.
Making Summer Days Out More Affordable
Juggling entertainment, travel, and everyday living costs during the long summer break can be a challenge for parents.
Whether you are planning a family trip to local attractions, heading into town for shopping, or taking the kids to enjoy Rutland’s green spaces and parks, the initiative provides a welcome boost to household budgets.
Be sure to check local timetables for Bland's and Centrebus routes to plan your journeys and make the most of free travel before schools return in September.
