Vacancy on Langham Parish Council Following Councillor Resignation

A Notice of Vacancy has been issued for the office of Councillor for Langham Parish Council.

The vacancy arose as a result of the resignation of Tracey Cunningham. This notice is given pursuant to section 87(2) of the Local Government Act 1972.

Procedure for Filling the Vacancy

The method for filling the vacant seat depends on whether an election is formally requested by the parish electors.

Request for Election: An election will be held if, by December 2, 2025, a request is made in writing to the Returning Officer by TEN electors for the Langham Parish.

Submission Address: The written request must be submitted to the Returning Officer at Catmose, Oakham, Rutland, LE15 6HP.

Co-option: If the required number of electors do not request an election by the deadline, the vacancy will be filled by co-option.

The notice was dated November 12, 2025, and issued by the Returning Officer, Mark Andrews.
