Cowgirl in Couture Saddles Up for a New Chapter

After nine and a half years of trading, Cowgirl in Couture is closed the doors of its boutique on Mill Street. Owner Rachel announced the news in a heartfelt letter posted in the shop's window, expressing both sadness at leaving the physical location and excitement for what's next.

"It's with excitement and anticipation for a new chapter but also sadness in my heart that after 9 1/2 years of trading, I've decided it's time to close the quaint doors of this little boutique of gems!" the note read.

For nearly a decade, Cowgirl in Couture has been a fixture in Oakham's independent retail scene, known for its unique collection of "small luxury items." However, the brand is not disappearing. Rachel's note explained that the business will continue in a new format. The shop will transition to specialising in small luxury items and will operate through appointments, home visits, and events, in addition to its online presence.

The announcement concluded with a warm thank you to all the customers and followers who have supported the business over the years. "I have been so blessed to have so many beautiful items and wonderful customers through its doors!" she wrote, urging the community to continue to follow her journey and "shop local and shop independent!"
