Rutland Remembers: County Honours Fallen on Remembrance Sunday
On Remembrance Sunday, the people of Rutland gathered to honour those who made the ultimate sacrifice. A poignant parade marched through the town centre, culminating in a solemn County Service at All Saints Church.
The parade, a testament to the county's unwavering respect for fallen heroes, included representatives from the armed forces, veterans' associations, and local organisations. As the procession wound its way through the streets, onlookers paid their respects, standing in silent tribute.
The County Service at All Saints Church provided a fitting conclusion to the day's events. A moving ceremony, filled with prayers, hymns, and this was followed by laying of wreaths, commemorating the sacrifices made by Rutland's fallen. The service was a poignant reminder of the importance of remembering those who gave their lives for their country.
