Oakham Town Council Co-opts Three New Members
Oakham Town Councils Mayor Paul Ainsley called an Extraordinary Meeting to consider applications for co-option to fill vacancies on the Council. Four candidates submitted applications: Mr. Martin Brookes, Mr. Paul Buxton, Ms. Anna Douthwaite, and Mr. Alan Walters.
While Mr. Walters was unable to be considered at this time due to personal circumstances, the Council approved the co-option of the other three candidates:
Mr. Martin Brookes will represent Oakham South ward.
Mr. Paul Buxton will represent Oakham North East ward.
Ms. Anna Douthwaite will represent Oakham North West ward.
Oakham Town Council wished, Mr. Walters a speedy recovery and looks forward to considering his application at a future meeting.
