Do your part to create a more dementia-friendly Rutland!

The Alzheimer's Society is hosting a FREE Dementia Friends Information Session specifically aimed at businesses and their employees as part of Rutland's Great Dementia Conversation. This session takes place on Wednesday, October 16th from 6pm to 7pm at the Victoria Hall in Oakham.

What is a Dementia Friend?

By attending this one-hour session, you can become a Dementia Friend. This means gaining a better understanding and awareness of dementia, and learning how to positively impact the lives of those living with the condition.

Benefits for Your Business:

  • Creates a more welcoming and inclusive environment for customers and colleagues who may be living with dementia.
  • Equips your staff with the knowledge and skills to better support those with dementia.
  • Demonstrates your company's commitment to social responsibility.

All participating businesses will receive a dementia-friendly window sticker. This small act shows your support for people with dementia in the Rutland community and lets them know they are welcome.

Space is limited, so sign up today!

There are also two additional sessions on Friday, October 4th and Monday, October 7th. Find more information and register for a session at: www.rutlanddementia.com/whats-on-in-rutland
