Rutland to be Showcased in Upbeat Music Video!

Uppingham Theatre

Calling all Rutland enthusiasts! A unique project is underway to create a music video celebrating the beauty and charm of this charming county.

Spearheaded by Uppingham's own Henry Dawe, the initiative began with a request from the High Sheriff of Rutland to pen lyrics for a county anthem. With music composed by Susie Hill, Director of the Rutland Youth Choirs, the project quickly expanded into a visual extravaganza.

"We saw the potential for a music video," explains Dawe. "This way, we can showcase Rutland's stunning locations and all it has to offer tourists."

The project has now shifted gears, aligning itself with Discover Rutland for broader reach.  This exciting development promises a video that will truly put Rutland on the map!

To raise funds for production, Henry is hosting a special event – "Cheer Upp!" – at the Uppingham Theatre on October 24th and 25th.  This comedic extravaganza, featuring solo performances and sketches by local actors, promises an evening of laughter and entertainment. Admission is free, with cash donations gratefully accepted to support the music video project.

Mark your calendars for a night of fun and support Rutland's big debut! Tickets are available at Oakham Wines, The Falcon Hotel, and online at wegottickets.com/event/628029. Don't miss this chance to be part of something special!
