It is with great sadness that we announce the cancellation of the Beating of the Retreat in Oakham, Rutland, for this year.
This annual event has been a cherished tradition for many years, bringing joy and camaraderie to our community.
Over the years, the Beating of the Retreat has raised substantial funds for the Army Benevolent Fund, supporting those who have served our country.
It is deeply disappointed that this important fundraiser will not be taking place.
Lets hope that this cancellation is temporary, this tradition will return in the future.
In the meantime, we encourage our community to continue supporting the army benevolent fund through other means.
