Oakham busy with historical excitement this past Saturday as visitors to Oakham Castle and the Rutland County Museum were transported through the ages at the town's 170th Anniversary History Fair. The Leicestershire Archaeological & Historical Society, celebrating its own significant milestone, orchestrated a truly captivating journey through time for all who attended.
Oakham Castle transformed into a vibrant historical hub, teeming with hands-on activities, thrilling re-enactments, and immersive living history displays. Families and history enthusiasts alike had the unique opportunity to witness the past brought vividly to life, right before their eyes.
