Alicia Kearns MP Celebrating the Winners of the Annual Card Competition
There is truly no better way to experience the magic of Christmas than through the eyes of a child. That pure, unbridled excitement and wonder is the very essence of the holiday season, and it was in this spirit that the winners of the sixth annual Christmas Card Competition were celebrated this week.
The competition, saw an array of wonderful, festive entries, making the judging process an enjoyable yet difficult task. As the competition organiser noted, sifting through the exceptional artwork is always "one of my favourite traditions in the run up to Christmas," although the sheer quality of the entries often leads to a delightful indecisiveness
The highlight of the week was the heartwarming moment when the winners and runners-up were surprised with their special Parliament teddy bears as a token of thanks for their creative efforts. The pure surprise and genuine joy on the children's faces perfectly captured the spirit of the season.
"Getting to surprise the children this week with their special Parliament teddy bears as a thank you is the most heart warming of all. The surprise and joy on their faces is the embodiment of Christmas."
A huge congratulations goes out to all the talented pupils whose creative designs stood out in this year's competition. Their artistry and festive spirit made for a truly spectacular display.
